Highlights
- We'll meet at the scheduled time next to the Obelisk of Liberty to begin the free tour of the legends of Aveiro. Let's discover the secrets hidden in this charming city!
- This tour will take you through the historic fishing district of Beira Mar.
- After introductions, we'll walk to our first stop, the Chapel of São Bartolomeu, which houses a belief from ancient times.
- We'll continue the legends route at the Carcavelos Bridge, located on the São Roque Canal, while discovering interesting facts such as the importance of its salt flats and the reason for the name of its most typical boat. We'll continue walking to the Chapel of São Gonçalinho, where we'll learn why this saint is so popular, the traditional festival in his honor, and a secret dance.
- We'll also pass by several urban art murals depicting curiosities and deeply rooted traditions, such as the origin of their typical sweets and Saint Joana, where we'll tell you the legend of a princess.s
- An hour and a half later, we'll conclude the tour of Aveiro's legends at the Arte Nova Museum, where we'll learn about another very Portuguese tradition and the legend surrounding it.

Time of arrival
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour starts and check in with your guide who will be waiting for you with a stick with colored ribbons.
